Charu Apparels was founded by visionary entrepreneur Shashi Krishna, whose determination and pioneering spirit laid the foundation for the company’s enduring legacy. She began her career in 1972 manufacturing shirts for the armed forces, quickly earning a reputation for precision, discipline, and uncompromising quality.
In 1979, she established Charu Apparels — a remarkable achievement at a time when women entrepreneurs were rare in the apparel manufacturing industry. With creativity and an instinct for evolving design, she expanded the business from apparel into home furnishings, introducing beautifully crafted quilts, coverlets, and coordinated collections known for their exceptional artistry and attention to detail.
Under her leadership, Charu Apparels collaborated with globally respected brands including Crate & Barrel, Anthropologie, Harrods, Christy’s, Sferra, and Hugo Boss.
Today, Charu Apparels offers a diverse portfolio spanning weighted blankets, home furnishings, fashion garments, sleepwear, table accessories, and advanced digital textile printing — continuing the legacy of innovation, craftsmanship, and excellence envisioned by Shashi Krishna.

To deliver reliable manufacturing solutions that grow with our partners.

To manufacture high-quality home furnishing products and garments through efficient processes, modern technology, and consistent execution.

To be a globally trusted manufacturing partner, recognised for scale, technical capability, and responsible production practices.

Guided by craftsmanship, accountability, and long-term thinking, Charu operates on three core values:

Manufacturing expertise designed for consistency, control, and growth.
We operate modern automated quilting, digital printing, stitching, and embroidery systems that deliver precision, speed, and uniform quality across both small developments and large production runs.
With dedicated sampling and bulk production units under one roof, we ensure faster development cycles, better coordination, and tighter quality control across garments and home furnishing programs.
Our infrastructure, workforce, and production planning are designed to support growing volumes while maintaining delivery timelines and quality standards.
